    Tomoko is quite the affectionate girl to those she knows, not just by the physical aspect such as hugs but also the emotional side as well and tends to dote on those close to her and treat them like precious fragile treasures. To both strangers and friends alike she's very friendly, given she doesn't feel attacked, and has no issue starting a conversation and making friends. She is also smart in the strategic sense opposed to the knowledge sense, and is great at avoiding trouble and thinking ahead in case of some sort of emergency even if she seldom thinks about a serious issue.

   Tomoko's affection can be completely overbearing to those not used to it and her overwhelming desire to be around others makes her quite clingy. She hates actually doing work simply because she's lazy and more than not believes the outcome isn't worth the effort and trying and her smarts go to getting out of doing things opposed to actually being productive and focusing on her future. She's also very dramatic and doesn't take criticism of herself or those close to her well at all, and typically takes a well-meaning critique as a personal attack.

Background ||

      Tomoko was an only child born to a fairly upper class Japanese family, with her mother being a banker and her father a lawyer. She was spoiled rotten as a small child, everything she wanted given to her. Her parents loved treating her like a baby which spoiled Tomoko didn't mind as she knew no other life. As she grew she​ was sheltered from the wrongs of the world through expensive private schools and even homeschooling in the younger years. Once she reached highschool age her parents loosened the leash so to speak and allowed their child to go out more and even attend a public school since it had a great reputation. At first Tomoko disliked the change, but after the taste of freedom she found herself loving it and made some friends and learned to interact in society.

      When Tomoko was 16 she developed her first legitimate crush that didn't fade out quickly, on an exchange student from England, Donavon, who became her next-door neighbor in the nearby dorm, the two growing close and eventually a spark grew between them although they were too embarrassed to explain it to each other. They began spending more and more time together, going out on what their parents called dates although they venomously denied it. Half the school thought they were dating by the middle of the school year, in fact. It didn't take much for her parents to find out, and after struggling with what they wanted to do  against what was best for Tomoko, they let her see the Brit, however they never found the courage to date. Donavon introduced her to the school she'd eventually reside her last year of school, as he dreamed of attending the prestige academy as it was the first Japanese school he'd learned about before he transferred. It was revealed the boy hoped to attend that school after graduating as a second year and attend college with Tomoko after, but all dreams fall short. At the end of the year Donavon had to return home due to a family-related emergency, leaving Tomoko stunned.

        Still at a loss from who was her crush and friend suddenly leaving she stumbled at what to do. Of course they kept in contact, but an email and looking him in the eyes was a stark difference to Tomoko. At first she considered returning to homeschooling her last year, but remembered this academy Donavon had wanted so badly to attend, making the last second option to attend in his honor, with her parents approval. Due to her high grades and her parent's wealth she managed to get into the prestigious academy just before the deadline for her final year.
